Communicating well is a life skill and it’s well worth investing time in developing it. The better we are at making ourselves understood and understanding others, the more connected we feel to those around us. We’re also more likely to get our needs met and to be able to meet the needs of others.

There’s a huge volume of information out there on how to communicate well, covering areas like choosing our words carefully, being aware of our tone and body language, listening actively and thinking before we speak. Boost Your Aura

In energetic terms, the stronger our presence, the more powerfully we’re able to communicate and otherwise influence what’s going on around us. One way to enhance our presence is to energise and expand our aura, which can be done in many ways.

The Power of Grounding

The Power of Grounding

I always think of grounding as being closely linked to mindfulness. It helps us to live in the present moment, fully in our body, and to deal constructively with what’s going on around (and within) us. Energetically, when we’re grounded, our consciousness and etheric/astral body are perfectly centred in our physical body and firmly anchored to the earth.

This doesn’t mean we can’t also be connected to Spirit at the same time. In fact if you’re going to do spiritual work, grounding yourself first is a very good idea. What we’re aiming for in the long run is to be grounded in our physical body, and still able to connect perfectly to our other bodies too – the emotional, mental and spiritual.

Let’s try a little exercise. Just for a moment or two, close your eyes and visualise the clothes in your wardrobe. Do any colours predominate, or do you have a nice even spread of colours across the rainbow?

Most people tend to prefer a certain range of colours over others, and the colours you see in your wardrobe are likely to be the ones you most resonate with, as well as the ones that suit you. You may even have had the experience of being absolutely clear on exactly what colour you want to wear in a specific situation – there’s a reason for that.
